Ruckus rolls out cloud-ready specialisation
The company believes the programme includes sufficient tools, training and technical support to empower its Select and Elite-level partners to "drive Ruckus cloud WiFi sales".
According to Ruckus, the IDC reports that cloud-managed Wi-Fi is growing at double-digit rates year-over-year, making it the fastest growing segment of the Wi-Fi infrastructure market.
The research and analysis firm also expects spending on public cloud to increase from US$67 billion in 2015 to US$162 billion in 2020.
Specifically in Africa, this is being driven by the promise of faster scalability, ease of management, and a pay-as-you-grow subscription model, Ruckus claims.
Bart Giordano, vice president of business development and cloud services, said, "We are committed to helping channel partners differentiate themselves through our specialisation programs."
The intention is to address requirements in key vertical markets including retail, the SMB space, hospitality and education.
Hans van Ballaer, senior network engineer, Van Roey said, "The Ruckus Cloud-Ready Specialisation program is a unique program that addresses customer requirements for cloud-managed Wi-Fi solutions. In particular, this program gives us the added benefit of new leads, market development funds and exclusive pricing discounts to make us successful in the fastest growing segment of the Wi-Fi infrastructure market."
