Easy label printing on the spot

Designed to save time and help improve productivity, PTX thermal printers can handle harsh environments, demanding applications, and changing needs.

In today's always-on mobile business environment, there's no reason printing can't be done as efficiently – wherever it needs to be done. With the PTX thermal range of mobile printers, generation and application of labels on the spot is easy.

Designed to save time and help improve productivity, PTX thermal printers can handle harsh environments, demanding applications, and changing needs. The range of portable printers can be used for any mobile printing application, in any environment.

"Whether a retail environment or an industrial environment, or anything in between, the M4L2 is rugged enough to meet the most demanding applications, and reliable enough that it will keep working despite heavy print traffic," says Frikkie Koegelenberg, CCO of PDC.

"Cargo and compliance labelling, pick and print, cross-docking and shelf labelling are a few examples of where the PTX printers come in especially useful. These units come with flexible mounting options, so they can be attached to work carts, belt loops or shoulder straps to make it easy to get to the printer, wherever it is needed."

Koegelenberg says the new M4L2 is a compact, lightweight, thermal printer designed specifically for mobile sales, field service and other such applications. "Boasting a high performance battery, this printer was designed to last at least 8 hours, and it has been built with dual-antenna technology so that it can be used anywhere in the building and reduces dead spots. In fact, the M4L2 has the industry's first high performance WiFi module and Bluetooth or WiFi interface options ."

He adds that the mobile printer is compatible with 802.11 a/b/g/n standards and supports both 2.5 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz frequency bands. "This technology puts the M4L2 in a class of its own by extending WiFi range. It also has a supercharged radio module which increases data transmission speeds and delivers faster label printing of up to 4 IPS."

Extremely user-friendly, with a large backlit LCD user interface and large media roll capacity for less downtime, the M4L2 comes factory-ready for ZPL II and CPCL printer languages..
IP54 rated for water and dust resistance and rated for repeated 4-foot drops to concrete, these printers are extremely adaptable and offer a wide range of features. "The graphic rich labels, flexibility, ease of use and wireless communication make quick production of labels and suchlike in the field a breeze with PTX thermal mobile printers," Koegelenberg concludes.
