Nigeria's Spectranet expands LTE service to Abuja, Ibadan

Nigeria's leading internet service provider (ISP), Spectranet, has expanded its internet wireless broadband technology service across the country.

Already operational in Lagos, the company confirmed that the 4G wireless internet service has been expanded to Abuja, Ibadan and other locations in the last few months.

Chief operating officer at Spectranet, Atul Ojha, said, “We have demonstrated our commitment by migrating from Wimax, otherwise we were running perfectly on the Wimax technology but because we wanted to ensure that our customers’ service is not compromised.”

"We could have continued like the other service provider on Wimax; we wanted to give the best and that is why we are the first to migrate to offer 4G,” Ojha added.
