Airtel Kenya expands network coverage
Airtel Kenya is expanding network coverage to meet the growing demand for data services.
The telecom provider is adding 349 sites that will go live by the end of the year.
The company announced expansion plans in Nairobi yesterday, saying additional 300 sites will go live shortly to enhance connectivity and improve the quality of service.
“Every step we take to advance our network infrastructure and capabilities, we aim to bridge the digital divide," said Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman of Bharti Airtel, speaking at a press conference in Nairobi.
He added: "We understand that the needs of our customers are ever-evolving, and we are staying one step ahead, anticipating their desires and providing solutions that surpass their dreams.”
Further, he said Airtel is deploying LTE on the 2600Mhz band for capacity expansion and future 5G rollout.

In addition, the company is also deepening its mobile money services, Airtel Money.
