ATM withdrawals enabled for Ghana’s mobile money users

Mobile money users in Ghana can now withdraw cash from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) without a card, thanks to a just-launched offering by telecoms firm MTN.

The service, dubbed ATM Cash Out, is the first of its kind in Ghana.

ATM Cash Out is available at all Fidelity Bank Ghana ATMs across the country.

And MTN further plans to roll-out the service to more partner banks’ ATMs nationwide.

“I believe the introduction of this innovative service to the Ghanaian market will enrich the user experience of customers,” said MTN Mobile Money senior manager, Eli Hini.

The ATM Cash Out service has been formally launched as part of MTN’s annual ‘Mobile Money Month’ in the country.

MTN was the first operator to launch mobile money services in Ghana.

The MTN Group operates mobile money offerings in 14 countries, reaching over 10 million customers.
