Remitly, Airtel Tanzania partner to simplify money transfers
Remitly, a global digital financial services provider, has partnered with Airtel Tanzania to facilitate money transfers to the East African country.
The US-based remittance company announced the partnership on yesterday, asserting it will make it easier and faster to send money across borders, offering relief to individuals supporting loved ones in Tanzania.
"We’re working to make sending money across borders easier and faster for you. That’s why we’re excited to share our new collaboration with Airtel Tanzania, one of the key mobile money providers in the country. This collaboration is an important step in making sending money to loved ones in Tanzania easier,” Remitly said in a statement.
This agreement allows Remitly users to send money straight to Airtel Tanzania wallets.
The fintech company went on to say that this means users may receive funds fast, whether for family support, schooling, or emergency needs, and that the entire process is safe and dependable, guaranteeing that money arrives as planned.
Airtel Tanzania, a mobile operator with over 19.4 million consumers, plays a critical part in this project, according to Remitly.
It stated that the company's extensive presence across Tanzania's urban and rural areas ensures that more people may benefit from its services.
The money transfer company, which was founded in 2011 and has a presence in 170 countries, said the Airtel partnership underlines its commitment to developing relationships that make a genuine difference in people's lives.
