HP yesterday placed artificial intelligence (AI) at the centre of its growth, unveiling more than 80 PCs, AI-powered print tools for small and medium businesses, and “workforce experience” platform enhancements at its annual Amplify Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

The new products and services, according to the company, are intended to define the “future of work” by empowering people and businesses to create and manage their own way of working.

The company yesterday launched new EliteBooks, EliteDesks and OmniBooks AI PCs. It also released printers that it said protect against quantum computer attacks, with the HP LaserJet Enterprise 8000 Series Printers for enhanced hardware security.

It also announced the enhancement of its Workforce Experience Platform.

For gamers, HP unveiled the new OMEN 16 slim gaming laptop and HyperX Cloud III S wireless gaming headset.

The company said that with clients eager to upgrade to Windows 11, it is “supercharging” its PCs to take advantage of the latest technologies, with certain models qualifying as Copilot+ PCs.

“HP is translating AI into meaningful experiences that drive growth and fulfilment,” said Enrique Lores, HP president and CEO. "We are shaping the future of work with game-changing AI innovations that seamlessly adapt to how people want to work."

In his keynote address at HP’s annual event, Lores emphasised the significance of this year’s gathering. He highlighted HP’s recent momentum, including a line-up of AI-driven products and strategic partnerships, including collaboration with Ferrari in Formula 1 to enhance brand visibility.

Lores outlined HP’s strategy of edge AI, regionalisation in supply chains and a transformative approach to the future of work.

He said with key pillars focused on integrating AI, enhancing customer experiences and providing tailored solutions, HP aims to innovate, while committing to sustainability and security as core values.

“We see a great opportunity ahead of us; a lot of opportunities to transform how our customers work, to really add more value to them. And this brings energy to the company, to the business and to all of you. In fact, we have been growing for the last three consecutive quarters.

“I have to say what we delivered during the last 12 months confirmed the opportunities that we saw. We have introduced a full line-up of AI PCs. We have made AI mainstream in the PC category.”

HP believes companies and people are seeking better work experiences and new advancements in technology – from seamless device connectivity to AI applications – that can help people work faster, think more creatively and connect on a deeper level.

“Qualifying consumer and commercial devices from HP are equipped with exclusive software designed to transform how people work in the office, at home and everywhere in between,” it said.

These include HP AI Companion, an on-device AI research assistant that delivers instant answers and secured file analysis, even without an internet connection. Second, HP Go10, which the company said will deliver seamless global connectivity for highly-mobile professionals.

“With automatic network switching regardless of carrier, advanced fleet management and effortless setup, road warriors can connect and be productive wherever work takes them.”

According to the company, the HP Go service option will first be available on the HP EliteBook 6 G1q powered by Snapdragon X Series, making it the “world’s first AI PC” with zero-touch multi-carrier 5G deployment.

The HP Poly Camera Pro’s new features make virtual interactions and video conferencing more dynamic and engaging, it noted.
