OK Foods, Franchise Division of Shoprite Checkers, recently held their annual conference in Amsterdam, Holland. This prestigious event was attended by nominees in the different store categories, other invited Franchisees, OK personnel and selected Suppliers. Spinnaker Software, supplier of Arch Retail Systems, the OK retail management software of choice, was one of the privileged business partners to attend.

The following stores were nominated in the different categories:

OK Foods – Cambridge (East London), Menlyn (Pretoria), Outjo (Namibia) and Strand (Western Cape) ; OK Grocer – Theunissen (Free State), Karibib (Namibia), Coligny (North West) and Stilbaai (Southern Cape) ; OK Minimark – Onrus (Western Cape), Duynefontein (Cape Town), Fairland (Johannesburg), Gariepdam (Free State), Khomasrand (Namibia), Simmies (Underberg) and Voorbaai (Mossel Bay) ; OK Megasave – Gobabis (Namibia), Alcor (Postmasburg) and Grootfontein (Namibia) ; Most Improved Store – OK Foods Douglas (Northern Cape), OK Foods Richards Bay (KZN), OK Grocer Coney Island (Sasolburg) and OK MiniMark Hugo Street (Cape Town). The winners were announced at a black-tie gala evening : OK Foods of the Year – Outjo (Namibia) ; OK Grocer of the Year – Theunissen (Free State); OK MiniMark of the Year – Duynefontein (Cape Town) ; OK Megasave of the Year – Gobabis (Namibia) & Most Improved Store – OK MiniMark Hugo Street (Cape Town).
