John Muthee has been appointed to lead client services and business development at GeoPoll as he takes on the role of vice president of business development in Africa.

The former GfK East Africa managing director, Muthee is expected to drive the strategy and execution of key growth initiatives, a statement notes.

The statement further notes that GeoPoll is in the process of expanding its mobile survey capabilities across the continent, which Muthee is also expected to drive.

GeoPoll's is a real-time mobile survey platform to obtain its data.

“As GeoPoll becomes the go-to solution for organisations looking to gain insight into African audiences, we’ve expanded accordingly,” said Steve Gutterman, president of GeoPoll.

Gutterman added, “... John and his business development team will lead our sales efforts and provide clients with insight regarding key markets, demographics, and customer preferences that has heretofore not been available on a real-time basis.
