Network International appoints Africa Merchant unit head

Mpho Sadiki has been appointed group managing director – Merchant Solutions, Africa, at Network International.

Sadiki will oversee the merchant solutions line of business across Network's African markets, according to the company, which recently announced that its cloud-based, full digital payment suite, Network One, is now accessible to South African banks, mobile network operators, and fintechs.

Sadiki brings to Network an exceptional track record as a seasoned fintech professional with over 15 years of executive management experience in the financial services and payments business, according to the company.

His most recent position was as chief product Officer at BankServ Africa, where he was in charge of product management and successfully led numerous verticals such as Card, EFT, Realtime Payments, Fraud, and Cash Management services.

Prior to joining Bankserv, Sadiki worked at Nedbank and Deloitte, where he succeeded at leading product and sales teams, with a primary focus on businesses that provide innovative payment solutions to wholesale and consumer clients, according to the company.

Sadiki holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Witwatersrand as well as an MBA from the Wits Business School.

He has also completed leadership programmes at INSEAD and Duke University.
