Online marketplace Kaymu enters Morocco, Ghana

Online market service Kaymu is expanding its reach from Nigeria (http://www.kaymu.com.ng/) and Pakistan by entering two additional markets: Morocco and Ghana (http://www.kaymu.com.gh/).

Kaymu enables businesses and individuals to sell items at no additional cost while customers can search for desired products.

Other features of the service include offering the best deals by traders on items such as electronics.

Furthermore, sellers can set up a ‘shop’ using the online service while the system uses what Kaymu says are fixed prices. Sellers can also then sell products via auctions.

Kaymu launched in Nigeria and Pakistan in 2013 and has in less than 9 months grown from 10 to over 60 employees, according to a press statement.

Kaymu is part of the Africa Internet Holding group, which also has Africa’s largest e-commerce website Jumia as part of its stable.

Jumia claims to have 100,000 unique visitors per day who buy “everything from fashion to phones.”

Regarding the Kamyu expansion, Jeremy Hodara, co-CEO Africa Internet Holding has said in a statement: “We are very proud to be able to expand our business within Africa and come to Morocco and Ghana. The online marketplace services are growing tremendously fast and we are confident to take our brand to a new level and continue a fast development of Kaymu in Africa.”
