CensorNet appoints Networks Unlimited to drive market push in SA, and sub-Saharan Africa region

CensorNet, the next-generation cloud security company, today announces it has partnered with South Africa's leading value-added distributor Networks Unlimited to service the entire sub-Saharan African region. The region includes many of the world's fastest growing economies and is experiencing unparalleled levels of infrastructure improvements, opening up the market to modern cloud solutions for the first time.

Networks Unlimited boasts four branches in South Africa, and also enjoys a strong presence in 19 sub-Saharan African countries. Opening its doors in 1994, the company has a 20-year track record of sourcing and distributing best-of-breed solutions to ensure the region continues to receive some of the most innovative solutions used by major enterprises today.

"Currently, there is a technological gap within the sub-Saharan Web security market. As more and more organisations are adopting cloud applications, traditional Web security solutions are outdated and unable to cope," comments Anton Jacobsz, managing director at Networks Unlimited. "What impressed us most is CensorNet's commitment in providing the most technologically advanced security solutions to respond to the growing demand in the market."

"With a wide market reach on the continent, Networks Unlimited is a high pedigree value-added distributor offering the best and latest solutions within the converged technology, data centre, networking and security landscapes," says Ed Macnair, CEO of CensorNet. "Our suite of cloud security solutions complements Networks Unlimited's existing portfolio while unlocking a plethora of up- and cross-sell opportunities."

Today's announcement follows CensorNet's statement of intent last month to shake up the Web security channel through an intensive channel recruitment drive. This is built on it partnering with security-focused channel partners and MSPs, strengthening its core channel management team and continuing to drive product development.

"I have been working with partners in South Africa for many years and I am excited to work with Networks Unlimited to drive the adoption of our Web security solutions in the region. While in the past the region suffered from poor bandwidth, limiting the penetration of the cloud, the market is now evolving at a rapid rate and the use of cloud applications continues to rise to unprecedented levels," adds Macnair. "This partnership is indicative of our plans to grow internationally, while enabling us to offer technical and sales support locally to our burgeoning customer base."

Networks Unlimited will be formally introducing CensorNet at the ITWeb Security Summit at Vodacom World, Midrand, South Africa from 26-27 May. Macnair will be attending and speaking at the event.
