City Power has expanded its digital solutions in an effort to improve customer experience and service efficiency.

The city highlighted the breakthrough this week, stating that at the forefront of these advancements is the launch of a new customer portal and the introduction of Joulene, an AI-powered Chabot."

"Our new customer portal is designed to provide our customers with seamless access to a wide range of services and information," according to a statement from the company.

According to the power utility, the customer portal is an extension of its existing website that provides historical data reports, allowing users to access up to 36 months of data relating to their meters.

City Power highlighted several major benefits, including a separate section for recording reported client queries.

• Meter Alarms: Notifications and reporting on any alarms associated with customer meters.

• Feeding Source Information (Load Center): Detailed reports on the sources that supply customer meters.

• Outage Information (Outages): Current information on power outages affecting a certain customer account number.

• Access Advanced Metering Infrastructure data and analyze usage patterns using hexadecimal data.

• Bill Simulation: A tool for analyzing billing details for Large Power Users.

"City Power recognises the importance of digital transformation, and we are taking steps to evolve," said CEO Tshifularo Mashava in a statement.
