ICITP & APPETD in Partnership

A Synergy to Improve the ICT Sector through South African Professional Certification for specialisation in the Information Technology ProfessioN. A Great Partnership for the developing ICT Sector in South Africa

The Institute of Chartered IT Professionals (ICITP) & Association of Private Providers of Education, Training and Development (APPETD) have launched a partnership to ensure the delivery of the first South African Information Technology Professional Designation, namely Information Technology Certified Professional™ (ITCP)SA which is accessible worldwide.

ICITP & APPETD partnership launched at Monte Casino in Johannesburg on the 14th of June 2017, in attendance were the institute's members, and the association's private providers. APPETD (Association of Private Providers of Education, Training and Development) has recently engaged in an agreement with ICITP (Institute of Chartered IT Professionals) as an ongoing initiative to forge mutually rewarding relationships with external industry organisations and professional entities. This venture allows members exclusively within the private education & training sector, the opportunity to become an approved tuition and testing centre to facilitate the tuition and/or examinations of candidates who are undertaking any ICITP professional studies.

The Institute of Chartered IT Professionals (ICITP) is the recognized professional body in the Information Technology sector of South Africa, an advocate of information technology issues in South Africa and is the only institute that administers & awards the two (2) benchmark professional designations in Information Technology. These recognized professional designations are registered on the SAQA's National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

The Association of Private Providers of Education, Training and Development (APPETD) is the leading representative body for private providers of education, training and development in South Africa. They lead and guide members by informing, representing, protecting, developing and lobbying in all business areas that affect private providers. APPETD is recognised to be the voice of the private education & training sector at all levels of legislative and regulatory activity within all quality control and accreditation areas.

The Partnership aims to provide more quality accredited training provider options for IT Practitioners who are seeking training towards the Information Technology Certified Professional™ (ITCP)SA Board Exam as well as other CPD activities.

This partnership has come about to effectively deliver skills development training to become a professional in the south African IT sector, Training about the importance of being recognised professionally as Certified or Chartered in the Industry, Code of Ethics and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and mainly training towards ICITP's professional exam available worldwide on Pearson VUE |www.vue.com/icitp

HOW – Applicants are screened to ensure compliance and quality control, providers have to contact either ICITP or APPETD Contact, to learn more about the accreditation requirements and secure an evaluation appointment with ICITP.
