MTN Cameroon CEO Mitwa Kaemba Ng'ambi was chosen as MTN Group's CEO of the Year 2023, while Mazen Farah, CIO of MTN South Sudan, was named the group’s CIO of the Year 2024.

Ng'ambi and Farah were both recognised at the MTN Group Leadership Gathering in Johannesburg, this week, where the company celebrated the accomplishments of MTN operations across Africa and the Middle East.

Commenting on her award, Ng'ambi dedicated it to MTN Cameroon employees. She said: “There is no leader without a team. There is no CEO without you. So, thank you immensely for all the support and great work you do.”

MTN Group said the Annual MTN Group Leadership Gathering Conference brought together its leaders from across Africa and the Middle East to engage in “meaningful discussions and collaborations to drive forward innovative digital solutions”.

The business said the conference gave an opportunity to recognise the efforts of nearly 5,000 MTN employees across its operations.
