Guinea Bissau added on mobile recharge website
Guinea Bissau citizens living abroad are now able to top up the mobile accounts of their friends and relatives back home, thanks to the inclusion of the West African nation on the mobilerecharge.com website.
The mobilerecharge.com website already allows other African expat from countries such as Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Morocco, Mozambique and Rwanda among others, to instantly top up airtime for relatives and friends back home.
The mobilerecharge.com website is operated by KeepCalling, an international telecoms company based in the USA. It says it aims to facilitate “the connection between families and friends living far away, through modern telecommunication” solutions.
“Starting 2015, those who left … Guinea Bissau for a new life abroad can now top up mobiles in their mother country. The service is available for top ups to cell phones pertaining to … Orange numbers in Guinea-Bissau,” Mobile Recharge said on Thursday.
The Telecom News Magazine says Orange Bissau is the third largest mobile operator in the West African country.
The addition of Guinea Bissau on the list of African countries to where expats can send airtime are part of the Mobile Recharge company’s bid “expand the network and penetrate new mobile top up markets in Asia, Africa and the rest of the world”.
