Orange names CEOs for Africa subsidiaries
French telecommunications services provider Orange has named the executives appointed to lead the company's four subsidiaries spread across Africa and the Middle East.
In a media release Orange stated that Eric Bouquillon has been appointed as chief executive officer of Orange Guinea, replacing Alassane Diene who will now serve as CEO of Orange Mali.
The company added that Thierry Marigny has been appointed as deputy chief executive officer of Sonatel in Senegal, replacing Jérôme Hénique who will take over as CEO of Jordan Telecom.
Marc Rennard, Orange International executive vice president for the Africa, Middle East and Asia zone, "The new CEOs all have significant executive experience in the telecommunications industry. They will continue and enhance the development of their respective subsidiaries, in an innovation-driven environment. Their contribution will be vital for the Orange group, which is accelerating its growth in Africa and the Middle East."
Bouquillon has 30 years of experience with the Orange Group, and has served as chief executive officer and general manager of Orange Réunion and Mayotte since 2010.
Diene has 29 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including stints in internal auditing, management control, strategy and HR.
Hénique has spent over twenty years with the Orange Group and has held executive positions in France, Spain and Senegal.
Marginy has occupied a series of operational positions, including chief marketing officer at Mobistar, deputy chief executive officer of Lebanese mobile operator Cellis, as well as founder and chief executive officer of startup Cityneo and chief executive officer of Orange Tunisia.
According to the company the appointments are part of the Group's international mobility policy, and occurred at the end of the each outgoing CEOs' term.
