African start-ups shine at NBA accelerator program
Three African businesses from Nigeria (Festival Coins and Salubata), Kenya (HustleSasa), and Egypt (UBR VR) received financial assistance and mentorship, as well as the opportunity to participate in seminars and development programs hosted by NBA Africa and its partners.
The NBA project benefits Africa's tech ecosystem and the next generation of African tech entrepreneurs by giving them access to mentorship and finance, which will assist drive growth in sports and creative sectors.
The NBA Africa accelerator program began in April and ended in September with the first-ever Demo Day at the NBA headquarters in New York City, when ten businesses from seven African countries submitted proposals to a panel of judges.
Paystack Payments Ltd., Kuramo Capital Management, and Nigerian University of Technology and Management attended Demo Day as the NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator's first official partners.
