Goal.com scores RIM as official African marketing partner

BlackBerry smartphone maker Research in Motion (RIM) has announced that it plans to promote its mobile devices across the Goal.com websites and mobi-sites for the Middle East and Africa.

Goal.com sites reaches over 14 million football fans across the Middle East and Africa, according to its parent company PERFORM.

And the promotion deal, therefore, plans to cover the Nigerian, Ghanaian, Kenyan, Egyptian, South African, Qatar, UAE and Jordanian markets.

To accompany the advertising placements, Goal.com also plans develop an 'exclusive BlackBerry mobile micro-site' providing direct access to what the company says could be 9.6 million mobile users. Goal.com also intends working with RIM to develop localised promotions and competitions in each market.
