Cape Verde becomes the 18th African country to adopt Starlink
Cape Verde has become the latest African nation to approve and adopt Starlink’s low-earth orbit satellite internet services.
The announcement was made by Starlink, a subsidiary of Elon Musk’s astronautics company, SpaceX on social media platform, X.
This, comes after the country’s regulatory authority, Agência Reguladora Multissectorial da Economia approved the licensing for Starlink operations in October.
Starlink currently has operations in over a 100 countries around the world.
“Cape Verde becomes the 18th African market to introduce Starlink”, said Ryan Goodnight, senior director, global licensing and market activation at SpaceX on an update on X.
