Epsidon Technology Distribution announces acquisition of Core Networks

Epsidon Technology Distribution (Pty) Ltd is proud to announce that it has acquired Core Networks (CN), effective 1 December 2019.

Core Networks is a specialised valued-added network and cybersecurity distributor. Core Networks adds leading global brands into the Epsidon portfolio, like Fortinet, Kemp, InfiNet and TrendNet as well as niche offerings from EnGenius, Atop, Media5 and Advanced Optics.

Core Networks will be fully integrated into First Distribution but will continue operating out of their current Centurion offices and retain their brand name.

Tony Abrahall Executive Director, of Epsidon Technology Distribution, says the acquisition of Core Networks into the Epsidon family gives the brand the opportunity to expand into more regions.
"Plans are already in place to expand the Core Networks footprint into Africa." says Abrahall.

Anton De Jager, MD of Core Networks, will head the Core Networks division of Epsidon.

"The partnership with the Epsidon Group is the start of a new era for Core. A broad partner network in Sub Saharan Africa, will allow Core to expand our product portfolio and services to a much wider geographical market whilst at the same allow us to expand our team. We look forward to be able to offer our old and new customers an even better customer experience with the possibilities of the synergies that exist within the business."

Debbie Abrahall CEO, Epsidon Technology Distribution, says "We are really excited about the acquisition of Core Networks with both the complimentary product offerings and skills that they bring into the company. This acquisition strengthens our offerings in the networking arena, where historically we have not had much of a focus, and this brings an exciting new offering to our partners".
