MTN Cameroon has confirmed progress with MTN Fusion, its flagship partnership development programme designed to cement alliances with enterprise partners in pursuit of digital economy advantages.

The programme was launched in 2019 and company officials have now reaffirmed its digital economic ambitions.

Speaking recently on the sidelines of the international trade exhibition ‘PROMOTE’ in the capital Yaounde, Franck Gérard Kom, General Manager of MTN Business said they were taking advantage of opportunities offered by digitalisation – turning them into progress and bringing value to the business world.

According to Kom, since the launch of MTN Fusion, the company has explored over 100 partnership projects – with over 20 companies signing up. Over a dozen products have also been launched in the marketplace, with over 100 customers from all sectors of the economy.

He referred to one of the deals – the deployment of a centralised monitoring solution for intercity passenger and freight transportation in Cameroon.

Kom said, “With MTN Fusion, we will continue to accelerate the digitalisation of the economy while promoting business development to build a sustainable and beneficial ecosystem for all.”

He added that this year, they will work towards consolidating the partnerships implemented since the initial launch of the programme.

The operator stated that it is focusing on merging the right capabilities, platforms and technologies through partnerships and collaboration.

The emphasis remains on accelerating the digital transformation of small and medium-sized, local enterprises.
