SimpliVity CEO, Doron Kempel, Named to 2014 CRN Top 100 List

Annual List Recognizes Leaders Among Channel-Friendly North American Tech Businesses; Kempel Ranks 7th in list of Top 25 Disrupters

SimpliVity, a leader in hyperconverged infrastructure for the software-defined data center, announced today that Doron Kempel, CEO and Chairman, has been named to the prestigious 2014 CRN Top 100 Executives list. As part of this list, CRN looked at the top 25 key executives that shook up the industry. Kempel was ranked 7th in its list of Top 25 Disrupters. CRN's annual Top 100 list salutes the key players who continue to shape the way the channel does business. These 100 leaders, hand-picked by the CRN editorial staff, represent the top influencers, sales leaders, innovators, and disruptors in the IT channel.

The CRN Top 100 list is based on feedback gathered from technology solution providers throughout the year by CRN editors with rankings reflecting each company's channel influence, effectiveness, and visibility, along with its business and sales impact on the IT channel. Among the criteria considered are channel sales volume, channel investment and resources, and channel advocacy and performance in research projects conducted by The Channel Company's CRN Intelligence research arm, including its esteemed Annual Report Card and Channel Champions reports.

With a proven track record of innovation and leadership, Kempel founded SimpliVity with the mission of simplifying IT. Prior to SimpliVity, Kempel founded Diligent Technologies, a pioneer in enterprise data deduplication, which was acquired IBM in 2008. SimpliVity provides the best of both worlds for today's virtualized data centers: the scale, agility, efficiency, and economics of cloud infrastructure with the performance, protection, and manageability of enterprise IT. OmniCube consolidates up to a dozen infrastructure functions into a single unified stack. Deploying a network of two or more OmniCubes creates a global federation that facilitates efficient data movement, resource sharing, and scalability. OmniCube's data architecture is delivered on commodity x86 building blocks to help organizations realize a 3x TCO savings.

"I'm honored to be recognized as one of CRN's Top 100 leaders shaping the channel industry," said Kempel. "We understand that customers want simplification, and OmniCube provides that, along with cloud-like costs and enterprise capabilities. We remain 100 percent committed to delivering world-class solutions to help resellers and their customers transform their data centers."

"The CRN Top 100 list is the "Who's Who" of the IT channel," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. "Each individual on this list has left an indelible stamp on the IT channel this year. Some are industry veterans with innovative leadership styles. Others are rising stars who have demonstrated a deep commitment to the channel. All deserve recognition for helping push the channel forward toward new market opportunities." The CRN Top 100 honorees will be featured in the August issue of CRN, the top news source for solution providers and the IT channel, and will be available online at www.crn.com.
