Data verification and analytics start-up, The Good People Data Company (TGPDC), has partnered with BetterHome Group, a South African residential property group, to provide data enrichment and automation that helps expedite the home buying process.

The partnership centres on Verify, a TGPDC platform that collects information about people and businesses from numerous sources before verifying and organising this information to achieve specific outcomes, such as filing for a bond. Verify may also collect and view bank statements, as well as conduct criminal checks, with the user's permission.

“This type of automation enables smartphone users to access services, like applying for government housing or a loan, online. It also consolidates the gathered information into forms that we share with our clients, ensuring inclusion and saving them time, effort and resources, while seeing to it that they are able to make informed decisions, faster,” explains JK du Toit, founder and CEO of TGPDC.

TGPDC stated that it feels content to have inked a data enablement agreement with the Group and looks forward to assisting with data enrichment and automation across the property sales value chain.

Charl Bruyns, Deputy CEO of BetterHome Group, continues, “By enabling our data environment in partnership with TGPDC, we can build valuable solutions that fulfill our mission of making the home journey a dream experience; helping more South Africans realise their home dreams, and protecting those dreams into the future.”

The partnership with BetterHome Group is the second deal that TGPDC has announced recently.

In May, it signed ajoint venture agreement with the South African Fraud Prevention Service that will see the two entities collaborating to combat money laundering, fraud, and impersonation crimes in the country.
