TE Connectivity confirmed its headline sponsorship of the FTTH Council Africa Conference 2014

Earlier this week, TE Connectivity confirmed its headline sponsorship of the FTTH (Fibre to the Home) Council Africa Conference 2014.

Director of Business Development in sub-Saharan Africa, Chuks Ofor, reiterated TE Connectivity's commitment to the Council, and its plans for nurturing the growth of the Council's presence across the African Continent.

"TE Connectivity is excited about the greater contribution FTTH Council Africa could bring to our industry," says Pape Ndaw, Director of Business Development for EMEA. "We have already discussed opportunities for incubator events in Lagos leading up to a successful conference and increased key stakeholders' participation."

Juanita Clark, FTTH Council Africa CEO, hinted towards future plans for the conference in other regions: "The FTTH Council Africa is honoured by the never-ending support and commitment received from so many of our members here in South Africa. This headline sponsorship from TE Connectivity, a worldwide player in fibre solutions, confirms that we are all committed to seeing this technology deployed across the continent in a faster and more efficient manner. It also reiterates a need for us to ‘spread our wings' and engage with the markets of other committed players in Africa. Exciting developments are planned for the coming months so watch this space."
