LogRhythm, a US-based cybersecurity company, has partnered with Egypt’s eFinance Cloud, to provide enhanced security for its cloud services in the North African country.

eFinance Cloud, a subsidiary of eFinance Investment Group, provides a range of cloud services. While LogRhythm, headquartered in Colorado, is a global security intelligence firm.

This week, the companies announced their agreement, stating that LogRhythm technologies will be integrated into eFinance's cloud computing platform.

Customers of eFinance – from industries such as financial services, government, and healthcare – will get access to LogRhythm SIEM (security information and event management) to detect risks, mitigate attacks, and expand their businesses, said the Egyptian company.

Last year, LogRhythm partnered with eFinance to mitigate threats in Egypt’s digital payment security ecosystem with LogRhythm SIEM.

According to the two, the recent agreement builds on this and sees the integration of LogRhythm into eFinance’s cloud platform. The deal enables eFinance to expand its support for Egypt's Vision 2030 project, which aims to promote digital transformation and improve operational efficiency in the country.

“As Egypt Vision 2030 shifts the country towards accelerated digital transformation, the need for scalable cybersecurity defences is higher than ever,” said Essam Ahmed, regional sales director, LogRhythm.

According to eFinance, its integrated cloud computing platform provides around 200 diverse services.

“It is equipped with the latest secure computing technologies and multiple digital services, including the latest software, cloud platforms, cybersecurity applications, artificial intelligence, big data processing, and more,” said the company.

Atef Mohammed, IT and cloud director, eFinance, said: “Egypt is currently undergoing digital growth, driven by factors including national digitalisation projects, infrastructure modernisation, and data centre investments.

“By integrating LogRhythm, we enrich the offering of our cloud computing platform as the Egyptian IT market continues to embrace digital models. This is further supported by eFinance’s certification by the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority, enabling us to deliver on local innovation.”
