Epson has announced plans to open a new regional sales office in Dubai, UAE, to serve the Middle East and Africa.

The company stated this move will expedite its expansion in key regions, separating Epson Middle East (EME) from the company’s European operations.

The EME regional office will begin operations in April 2024, with satellite offices in South Africa, the UAE, and Turkey, with further operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, Israel, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.

Neil Colquhoun, president, Epson EME, said: “This investment will give us the agility and ability to address the changing needs of customers in these dynamic, fast-growing markets with our key areas of printing, scanning, and visual display solutions.”

Epson reported sales increases of more than 40% in the Middle East and Turkey, almost a third in Africa, and around 10% in Central Asia, Caucasus and Ukraine for financial year 2022.

The company anticipates significant demand for Epson technology solutions, such as the increased scanning and automation needs for digitised workflows in various business sectors.
