Kenyan fashion tech startup ShopZetu scores $1m funding
Kenya tech startup ShopZetu has raised one million dollars in pre-seed funding round, led by Chui Ventures, for expansion.
Shopzetu is a fashion technology company that provides an e-commerce marketplace, infrastructure and tools for fashion vendors to enable online fashion retail.
With the funding, Shopzetu plans to scale customer acquisition in Kenya and expand its vendor base to 1,000 brands.
Founded in 2021, Shopzetu intends to broaden its reach to the beauty and home décor categories and seek partnerships with international fashion brands that want local distribution without needing physical stores.
In addition, Shopzetu intends to pilot regional delivery services in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Marvin Kiragu, founder and CEO, ShopZetu, comments: “We are excited to be driving the charge in online fashion and lifestyle retail.

Other funders for the round included Launch Africa, Roselake Ventures, Logos Ventures, and angel investors Kendall Tang and Ben Munoz.
