Mobile recharge website adds Zim, DRC operators
MobileRecharge.com has added Econet Wireless in Zimbabwe and Orange in the Democratic Republic of Congo to its list of networks whose subscribers are able to top up prepaid offerings from the website.
The website already serves other operators on the African continent including MTN in Zambia, Rwanda and Nigeria. All of South Africa’s mobile operators, Vodacom, Cell C, MTN and 8ta, are already on the mobile top up website.
Owned by US based telecoms solutions company, KeepCalling, representatives of the MobileRecharge.com website said on Wednesday that there are now even more “possibilities … for mobile recharges to African countries”.
“For Zimbabwe, MobileRecharge.com added Econet which complements the already existing Telecel. Also, DR Congo is a newly added country to the top up list and has the popular operator,” the company said in a note.
It added that “new protocols with other popular operators” were in progress.
According to the communication released by Mobile Recharge, topping up using the website takes less than one minute. It uses credit cards such as Visa, PayPal and MasterCard for subscribers to purchase airtime using the website.
“All major credit cards are accepted, and the system guarantees a secure environment,” it said.
The process is undertaken following three procedures. Subscribers enter their recharge details, log in and proceed to payment after which the amount is send to the selected mobile number.
MobileRecharge.com also added Tuyo Movil and Fullmovil in Costa Rica as well as Digicel in Curacao to take the total number of new operators on the site to five.
The company said its website offered a simplified online recharge process that is fast and safe on lower prices while there are also opportunities for daily promotions.
