ContinuitySA Global Centre of Excellence receives Continuity and Resilience Team award at BCI Africa Awards
The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) has named the ContinuitySA Global Centre of Excellence the African Continuity and Resilience Team for 2017 for the second year in a row. The award recognises "teams working in continuity and resilience with dedicated members within large organisations", and specifically considers the way it is led, how it works together and across organisational silos, and how it has overcome specific challenges.
The ContinuitySA Global Centre of Excellence is a South Africa-based team that provides business continuity and disaster recovery services to clients of the Dimension Data Group across five continents.
The team provides consulting services, develops and manages products, provides sales training and monitors delivery. It also serves as a repository of intellectual capital in the area of business continuity and disaster recovery for the global organisation.
"The ContinuitySA's Global Centre of Excellence team is delighted and honoured by this recognition from the industry organisation. Setting up and running a global capability like this is challenging but also hugely rewarding because it enables us truly to leverage the specialist intellectual capital and experience of ContinuitySA to the benefit of clients across the world," said Jeremy Capell, who heads up the Centre of Excellence team and is also General Manager of Advisory Services for ContinuitySA. "Our thanks to the judges."
