Trace Software lands major Ivory Coast energy deal

Trace Software International, in association with renewable energy-focused consultancy service Cythelia Energy, have secured a deal with the Ivorian Renewable Energy Association (AIENR) with the short term objective to support the promotion and expansion of renewable energies in Ivory Coast.

A key component of the deal is the availability of Trace Software International's archelios software which is designed to help manage photovoltaic constructions and increased the production of solar energy.

The company could not divulge any financial information related to the deal.

Trace Software International will also provide training, as well as direct support for marketing at trade shows.

Mehdi Bouikhif, General Manager at Trace Software Morocco, said, "We are all very proud of this agreement between the AIENR and Trace Software. It represents a great step for both our company and Ivory Coast in the development and promotion of green energies. We are committed at supporting their efforts to increase renewable energies production and consumption thanks to our performant software archelios and our ongoing client support and service. This partnership certifies our strong ties with Africa. Plus it also shows our determination to provide photovoltaic professionals with solutions that match their needs perfectly."

The long-term objective of the partnership is to help Ivory Coast reduce its carbon footprint, with specific attention to the AIENR's mandate to help reduce the consumption of fossil energies (petroleum, gas and charcoal).

Bouikhif adds that Africa is at the heart of Trace Software's global strategy. "In September 2014 we opened an office in Morocco in order to sustain our activities on the African continent. Trace Software emphasises a lot on being always closer to its clients so we can deliver and guarantee the best and most efficient client support and service to our valued customers.

"Our agreement with AIENR offers our company great business perspectives without differing from our strategy and core principles. In this perspective, we will support the AIENR during the first forum on energy efficiency and renewable energies on April 26-28, 2017 in Abidjan. This event is a unique opportunity to present our solutions to numerous professionals of West Africa."

The software firm plans to expand and has in place contacts in Morocco, Senegal and Mali.
