Sofibanque colocates services at OADC Texaf Kinshasa datacentre

Sofibanque has moved its data to the datacentre in Kinshasa as part of its digital strategy.

Sofibanque, a major bank in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is moving its data to the AODC Texaf datacentre in Kinshasa.

According to a statement, the move will enable the bank to meet international and national standards in compliance and regulation, provided by the centre’s Tier III certification and critical IT systems.

Mohammned Bouhelal, managing director of OADC Texaf Kinshasa said: “This collective shift towards advanced infrastructure will play a critical role in the economic development of the DRC and neighbouring countries, fostering a more inclusive financial system and supporting broader socio-economic progress.”

For Henry Wazne, managing director and CEO of Sofibanque the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to improving customer service through a digital strategy.

“This partnership is a key step in our journey towards a more robust and agile IT environment that supports both our customers and the broader financial ecosystem in the DRC,” he said.

The data centre has a 2MW capacity and is working to obtain a ISO27001 post-live certification.
