Ethio Telecom extends 5G services to more cities

Ethio Telecom launches 5G in Wolaita Sodo, Hosaena, and Arba Minch cities.

Ethio telecom, state-owned telecom provider, expanded its 5G network reach over the weekend to include the cities of Wolaita Sodo, Hosaena, and Arba Minch, as well as their surrounding areas.

The firm has already deployed 5G wireless network technology in Addis Ababa, Adama, Jigjiga, Dire Dawa, Harar, Bahir Dar, and Hawassa.

Ethio Telecom said: “The company is actively working to access a wide array of the latest technologies and digital solutions and drive forward our nation’s digital transformation vision.

“In response to the rapidly evolving customer needs, we are dedicated to deploying telecom and digital infrastructure that elevates customer satisfaction, improves service quality, and ensures reliable and high-quality services.”

Furthermore, the telco said that in order to satisfy its clients' increasing demands, the 5G service will give secure and rapid access to mission-critical data, allowing for the implementation of innovative telecom and digital solutions.

Ethio Telecom further stated that 5G service provides significant benefits in industries like as healthcare, smart agriculture, education, mining, manufacturing, airports, transportation, smart homes, broadcasting, entertainment, and cloud-based 5G gaming.
