MobileData embraces digital with new executive appointment

In a move designed to strengthen its digitalisation strategy, South African-based MobileData has appointed Chris Daffy as its Chief Commercial Officer with immediate effect.

Daffy, who was previously the business development executive at Gijima, has extensive experience in the mobile and telecommunications market.

"MobileData is perfectly positioned to benefit from the digitalisation push currently happening in South Africa. The country and the rest of the continent are at the cusp of a brave new world and I intend to assist the company position its TradeSwitch® service delivery platform for this environment," says Daffy.

He believes that the future of the connected world lies in the switches that help manage the emerging Internet of Things.

"This environment sees traditionalists falling by the wayside making way for chief digital officers to find business-savvy ways of improving efficiencies and driving down costs through a digitally connected system. As such, I aim to amplify the work done on TradeSwitch® and create an enabling way for our customers to enhance their service offerings. Given the flexibility of the solution, MobileData can really become all things to all people with the power if its service delivery platform," adds Daffy.
