Paratus becomes the first Starlink reseller in Botswana
Paratus, an independent provider of last-mile and satellite-based connectivity, is the first Starlink reseller in Botswana.
Following last year's announcement, Paratus began reselling SpaceX's low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity option, Starlink.
The Botswana government recently approved the Starlink license approval, a step that Paratus Botswana says it had been planning for.
According to the company, the advantage of ordering directly from it is that Paratus Botswana keeps stock in-country and provides 24/7 telephonic assistance, installation services, and technical advice, such as integration into existing networks and warranty returns.
MD of Paratus Botswana, Shawn Bruwer explains: “We are ready to provide Starlink services in Botswana and have already received numerous enquiries via our 24/7 help desk and website. We are delighted to be the first reseller to offer the priority Starlink services in Botswana, and particularly to those in remote and rural areas, who have been eagerly awaiting a reliable high-speed connection.”
Bruwer continues: “Starlink is a game-changer. It offers an affordable and user-friendly satellite option that delivers high-speed broadband internet connectivity throughout the country. For Paratus Botswana, this is another demonstration of our commitment to Botswana and Vision 2036 and to connect more and more people in the country.”
According to the company, industries such as mining, financial services, hospitality, tourism, education, and all business sectors that operate in remote areas will now have access to reliable, safe, and fast internet.
