Software firm UiPath appoints new VP for MEA region
UiPath, a global software company, has named Zakaria Haltout area vice president for the Middle East and Africa.
UiPath announced the move today, noting that it is intended to consolidate the company's leadership capabilities in markets with high potential for increased adoption of automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Haltout will report to Mark Gibbs, UiPath's president of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
According to the company, Haltout has more than 20 years of experience as a business leader and technology executive in the Middle East and Africa, where he has developed strategic commercial relationships.
He joins UiPath following a 15-year career with SAP, where he most recently served as the managing director for the MENA region.
He has been in charge of creating and executing the go to market strategy as well as sales across all segments in his previous jobs. Zakaria has worked at Oracle and Siemens.
“As proven by the accelerated adoption of cloud computing services, the MEA region is poised to deliver some of the most advanced digital leaders globally. I’m confident that AI-powered automation will play a key role in the digital transformation of every organisation in the MEA that is committed to enabling citizens, customers, and workers to experience the power of AI at work,” says Haltout.
Gibbs goes on to add: "Thanks to the accelerated pace of digital transformation in the region, the MEA automation ecosystem holds endless potential for automation-fueled innovation."
