Vodacom Lesotho offers youth NXT LVL platform

Vodacom Lesotho is making available its NXT LVL platform to the country's youth, offering better rates on its network and enabling access to social media channels.

The company views this segment of its customer base as the most vocal and technologically engaged.

Rashid Tar-Mahomed, Vodacom Lesotho's Managing Executive for Commercial said, "This is not only our way of thanking the youth for their immense support, but it is also a promise; a promise to empower them, to avail opportunities for them, through very exclusive, relevant, and more importantly, flexible offers, to take them and their talents, truly to the next level."

The Vodacom Lesotho NXT LVL platform gives access to 'Social Levels' - an offering for the use of Social Media channels such as WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

Vodacom says users on Prepaid will be able to purchase 'Levels' for M3, then 'ba 'itsoakele' (mix it up)' to decide how much of their levels go towards data, voice or SMS.

The operator adds that in the same way, they will be able to purchase 'Social Levels' for M5, and have unlimited access to platforms like WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook.

The Vodacom NXT LVL product range was first launched for South African youth in 2017. The company has traded in Lesotho for 22 years and is majority owned by Vodacom Group Limited (80%), and Sekhametsi consortium (20%) in the country.
