Nihilent Technologies, a Johannesburg-based global consulting and solutions integration company and Nedbank, one of South Africa's Big Four in banking, jointly celebrated the successful deployment of a key project.

The success follows a long journey of almost three years, culminating in the release of new products to Nedbank's corporate and business banking clients. The joint gathering which included top executives from both sides was visibly upbeat. The excitement was palpable as recognition awards were given out amidst cheering and hooting for the awardees. The event was well attended by senior executives from Nedbank and Nihlent and the respective teams.

Aart Jurriaanse, general manager, Nedbank thanked the Nihilent and Nedbank teams for the efforts and sacrifice during the long and difficult journey and attributed the success to the single minded focus displayed by both teams to reach the goals. Jurriaanse is confident that the new products will be well received by the market.

Vineet Bahal, senior vice president at Nihilent, said "It was not only about late nights and working weekends but about the passion and emotion with which the teams applied themselves to achieve the success of today". Thivian Moodley, head of Strategic Projects at Nedbank had the crowd in splits while presenting the awards. Moodley expressed his sincere thanks to both teams for their efforts and is confident that Nedbank and Nihilent have delivered world class products the benefits of which the customers will surely appreciate.

The party, which had great food, drink and music on offer, was lapped up by everyone. It was truly a joint celebration of a joint effort well delivered!
