Airtel Nigeria targets youth with ‘Come Alive’ campaign

Mobile operator Airtel Nigeria has launched a campaign to attract the youth to its network.

The company hopes to capture a big portion of Nigeria's 70% teeming youth population with the campaign dubbed 'Come Alive'.

According to the company, the campaign summarises its brand promise of empowering Nigerians ‘to realise their full potential and dreams’, enabling youth and even the ‘young-at-heart’ to communicate with their families, loved ones and friends using the operator’s latest mobile and digital offerings.

Speaking at the formal unveiling of the campaign in Lagos, Segun Ogunsanya, managing director and chief executive officer for Airtel Nigeria, said the company is committed to empowering young Nigerians.

“As a youth-focused, mobile Internet network, actualising dreams can only be more realistic with us,” he said.

Deepak Srivastava, Airtel’s chief operating officer said the “new campaign rides on the crest of Airtel’s 3.75G data network.”

According to statistics, Airtel is the country’s third largest mobile network operator with a more than 20% market share

Nigeria is Africa’s largest mobile market with over 100 million connections.
