PaySpace expands its Payroll & HR offering into 37 countries

PaySpace is the leader in online Payroll & Human Resource software in South Africa and has further expanded its ground breaking cloud based offering from the original 18 countries it serviced to a total of 37. The footprint includes mostly Africa but recently has seen roll outs for clients in the Middle East and Europe.

PaySpaces' CEO, Bruce van Wyk says: "We are continuing to see strong demand for our true cloud based Payroll and HR offering where we automate the legislation, provide powerful expatriate functionality and underpin processes in the entire HR and payroll life cycle."

PaySpace has successfully been appointed as the service provider of choice to two of the big four global accounting firms in  sustaining their African payroll solution to their clients.

"The key factor in these relationships, aside from base requirements which include ease of use, scalability and flexibility, is the fact that our system has very powerful niche automated expatriate functionality which these firms have been looking for, for some time," adds Bruce.

"We have also seen some very positive signs in the African space around internet access. One of our studies involved a resource travelling through 18 African countries for 40 days and he only experienced a lack of internet access on 5 occasions for less than 2 minutes on each occasion which is hugely exciting for our type of offering."

The PaySpace international offering is a highly advanced, country-specific cloud solution. Over and above the need to comply with local tax authorities, the need for advanced workflow capabilities, PaySpace also covers the requirement for expats working in other countries to gross-up their earnings by relevant statutory contributions according to currency and contracts offered in their home countries. PaySpace is able to supply employee and company based reporting in host and home currencies as well as comply with consolidated reporting in any currency required by multinational companies.

"We have welcomed Scott Ellis to our team who will be heading up the African business development area. He brings a wealth of experience to this leg of our business and is tasked with ensuring that PaySpace maintains its leading position as the benchmark in Payroll and HR" concludes Bruce.
