Vodacom has entered the annual Black Friday push for consumer business and announced deals of up to 75%, as part of a series of weekly offers.

Black Friday 2022 takes place on 25 November. However, e-commerce companies like Jumia have already detailed their plans to entice bargain hunters, both in-person and online, for the entire month, hoping to capitalise on continued interest from the Africa market.

Vodacom said it will launch deals beginning 4 November and on every Friday until 1 December 2022.

Deals include mobile and fibre contracts, tech wearables, as well as contracts that are bundled with deals on laptops, routers, gaming consoles and accessories.

“Postpaid customers will get 75% off the 30GB recurring anytime data bundle at the price of just R175 per month when adding it to a new contract, whilst prepaid customers have so much to look forward to in the next few weeks!” the operator said.

It added that Vodacom Business customers will be offered capped and uncapped internet deals for R249, “as well as SIM-only deals on a selection of RED Business plans all available online and in-store.”

Data deals available on a Home Internet LTE 1 TB (500GB anytime + 500GB Night Owl) capped data deal with a Nokia Fastmile Gateway 1 router at R349 per month over 36 months.

New VodaPay customers will be offered time-limited Vodacom-specific deals, such as the 1GB bundle for R1.

“Existing VodaPay customers will get 70% off selected mobile data bundles on the Just4You menu accessible via VodaPay,” Vodacom stated.

Jorge Mendes, Chief Officer of Consumer Business at Vodacom South Africa, said, “South Africans have been hit by various crises, this Black November campaign forms part of our efforts to ease some of the resultant financial burden our customers are facing.”
